In an industry like affiliate marketing, it does sometimes happen so that a number of news “pile up” on the same day. However, this normally coincides with major digital marketing conferences, or events of their scale. Today the former is true, while the latter isn’t (no offense to ForumCon which, as I’ve heard went really well in San Francisco yesterday). The three news I’d like to bring you today are in one way or another connected with my participation in them (yes, tooting my horn… but I’m not doing it so frequently anyway, am I?). Here they are (in no particular order):
1. LinkShare Golden Link Awards
Every year Rakuten LinkShare hosts its Golden Link Awards ceremony during the their East Coast Symposium, which traditionally takes place in New York City. They do it “to celebrate extraordinary achievements in performance-based marketing” [source]. I was privileged to be shortlisted for Performance Marketing’s Most Vocal Advocate award last year. While in 2012 they don’t seem to have this category any longer [view 2012 categories & finalists here] I am honored to have been asked to be on the judges panel this year. For those of you who do not know, I also judge Performance Marketing Awards in Europe.
2. AM Navigator Opens Up For Guest Blogging
I’ve been pondering on this idea for quite a while; as numerous people (and companies) have been asking. Having authored nearly 1,100 posts in this blog over the years, I’ve come to be both overly protective, and quite demanding in terms of content quality. I must admit, the former often tended to overshadow the latter.
Tomorrow things will change! In great anticipation I am happy to announce that AM Navigator’s blog is now open for guest blogging; and the very first guest post is scheduled for Thursday, June 13, 2012. Check back tomorrow (I think it’s a really good one!); and if you would like to guest blog here too, do email us.
3. Affiliate Management Days Speaker Deadline Approaching
Based on your preferences, as well as numerous other factors, we decided to go with Fort Lauderdale, FL as the location for AM Days East 2012. The conference is going to be held on October 9-10 [full details here] and we’re going to be co-locating with Conversion Conference this time.
If you are interested in speaking at AM Days East 2012, we are still accepting speaker proposals; however, the deadline is approaching fast. It is EOD of Friday, June 15, 2012. Yes, only two days away; and if you have a good topic in mind, please submit your session proposal through the AM Days website here. We’ve confirmed a handful of speakers already, but the majority of decisions (just as before, we’ll have around 20 speakers at the Florida conference) will be made between June 15 and 29. As food for thought, feel free to use our San Francisco 2012 agenda.
#2 is exciting Geno. Look forward to some great posts (and maybe contributing a few!)
Definitely, Matt. You know where to find me if/when you have an idea.
