In the course of five years (between 2006 and 2011) we knew them as a4uAwards, but this year the United Kingdom’s prestigious awards for “excellence and innovation” in affiliate marketing are re-branding into a name that I, personally, believe to be a much better-fitting one. They have also just announced their call for nominations/entries… Here are the key points in a bullet-list format:
- Starting form 2012 a4uAwards will be called Performance Marketing Awards (yes, another PMA in the industry, but don’t confuse with the Performance Marketing Association)
- In addition to the 5 new award categories they introduced in 2011, the 2012 awards will have 3 new categories added (Best use of Data, Best Use of Email, Best Consumer Targeting Campaign) [more here]
- You may submit your awards entry here
- Just as last year, I am honored to have been invited to judge the awards
Last year I have really enjoyed reviewing the entries — especially those that were focused around innovations. Looking forward to
Thanks Geno, we felt it was a natural progression here in Europe as Performance Marketing embraces so many different facets.
I’m really pleased both yourself and Shawn Collins are able to judge; though I’m not sure you’ll be able to make our judging day in London this year?
Our new categories have been designed to reward true transparency, excellence and innovation. For example our new ‘Best use of Data’ will look at how each party has used data to smartly improve the performance and ROI of a campaign.
Data is the new oil, and it’s not IMO being used effectively within affiliate marketing.
For anyone that has International activity, then please also consider the ‘International Award’ – full details on the website.
Best,
Matthew
Matthew, I appreciate you chiming in with your comments, and thanks again for extending the invitation to participate in this year’s judging. It’s an honor.
