Back in mid-October I wrote about the upcoming Affiliate Summit West 2010, which as all previous West Coast summits is being held in Las Vegas, NV, and starts this Sunday (January 17) to go on through Tuesday (January 19). This is going to be the largest Affiliate Summit ever, gathering 4,125 affiliate marketers from all over the globe.
I am privileged to be presenting at this event (on January 17), and to also be among the three finalists for the Best Blogger award to be announced on January 19. Not sure which one of these makes me more anxious.
My Sunday presentation is going to be devoted to the top mistakes that affiliate program managers and merchants routinely commit, thereby hurting the development of their own affiliate programs. Plenty of real-life examples will be provided to illustrate my points.
Earlier this morning I’ve given an interview to the Website Magazine, and among the questions answered there was this one:
Website Magazine: What do you hope those attending your session at Affiliate Summit will take away?
Geno Prussakov: Actionable knowledge, or concrete practical thoughts on how to make their own affiliate program management more effective. While those that do not make mistakes, do not make anything, there is also a flip side of the coin. Sam Levenson said that we “must learn from the mistakes of others” as we “can’t possibly live long enough to make them all” ourselves. I’ve made many of the mistakes I’ll cover in my own management, and I sure wish I knew then what I know now.
If you may find this presentation of benefit, I certainly hope to see you in the Palma room at the Rio between 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm Pacific Time.
You may view the full Affiliate Summit’s agenda here.
If you’re attending the conference and would like to meet with me personally, just drop me an email, and I’ll make the time.
Looking forward to this session Geno. See you in Vegas!
Geno – you are the best at providing “Actionable knowledge”. Sorry I won’t make your presentation (I have a to man booth 51 at the Meet Market), but I do hope to shake your hand at least!
Thank you, Brad and thank you, Patrick. Looking forward to meeting you both.
Patrick, I’ll make sure to swing by the Meet Market table #51.
