Today I have received a confirmation that my Affiliate Summit West 2010 speaking proposal has been accepted. This is going to be my third time presenting at this affiliate marketing conference, but it is always a great honor, and I am very much looking forward to feeling those butterflies in my stomach again.
Affiliate Summit West 2010
The West Coast summits have been traditionally held in Las Vegas, NV, and so it will be in January 2010 as well. Since 2007 the Affiliate Summits on the West Coast have been gathering much larger crowds than those on the East Coast, but in 2009 the statistics has almost evened out:
2007 – West (2,079) / East (1,852): West Coast conference 12.26% larger than the East Coast one
2008 – West (2,932) / East (2,341): 25.25% more attendees in Vegas than in Boston
2009 – West (3,207) / East (3,076): only 4.26% difference between Vegas and NYC

The upcoming Las Vegas summit promises to be an exciting event: with Robert Cialdini (author of multiple works on influence and persuasion) and Brian Clark (aka @copyblogger) keynoting, and top notch professionals presenting on dozens of topics related to Internet marketing in general, and affiliate marketing in particular [agenda here].

My Presentation
My presentation is entitled “20 Affiliate Program Management Mistakes To Avoid”. It’ll take place on Sunday (January 17, 2009) between 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm in Classroom C. I am going to cover what I believe to be the top 20 mistakes committed by affiliate program managers and merchants on a daily basis. Each point will be illustrated by real life examples, and at the end of the session you will be able to take away both the practical knowledge and a handy checklist to compare your own management to. The session will be open both to Platinum, and to Gold pass holders. So, if you get one of the above-quoted ones, you should be good to attend both mine, and all of the other sessions on Day 1 of the Summit.
