Based on various polls and surveys, we can confidently state that around one-fifth of affiliates are using affiliate program directories to find programs to join. More on it in our earlier Are Affiliate Program Directories Dying? and Effective Affiliate Recruitment Through Affiliates’ Eyes posts.
The above findings are quite logical. After all, when it comes to online searches for vertical-specific affiliate programs, it is affiliate program directories that come up on the top of SERPs (search engine results pages). Keyword saturation and relevance help them rank high and justly so.
The only logical questions to ask now are: “What are the top affiliate program directories to submit my program information to?” (if you’re an advertiser) and “What are the best affiliate program directories to use while searching for new programs to join?” (if you’re an affiliate).
Our original publication of the below list occurred in mid-August of 2010 — centuries ago by affiliate marketing‘s age. Since then, we’re constantly updating the list (fun fact: only 3 of the originally-listed 10 directories are still in business). It’s important to keep it just as relevant as the content of the affiliate directories themselves. Below you may find our most comprehensive and most up-to-date compilation of the top 10 affiliate directories to consider. Inclusion in it was dictated by two factors. The first one was the affiliate directories’ popularity as expressed by traffic volume; while the second — the directory’s quality as determined by our subjective evaluation.
1. Affiliate Program Database
Growing fast and furious, this young affiliate program directly is growing at an impressive pace. Per their Founder’s comment under this post, APDB prides itself on “unbiased information, reviews by experienced users,” and even “Q&A between affiliates and merchants.”
2. High Paying Affiliate Programs
Launched in 2013, this affiliate directory quickly gained steam and is currently ranking high on many vertical-specific affiliate program searches, listing more than 1,200 affiliate programs. They categorize the programs not only by niches, but also by their earning potential, suitability for various audiences, and more.
3. Content Monetization Platform Lists
While you could access network-specific programs via the respective affiliate networks, there is a shortcut to getting a wider picture. Consider browsing through program listings on content monetization platforms! Here we can’t help but call out: VigLink (with programs from “more than 65,000 partner retailers, merchants, and brands”), Skimlinks (with nearly 50,000 programs), as well as FMTC.
4. AffiliatePrograms.com
This is one of the oldest affiliate directories out there. It started listing individual affiliate programs in 2004; and while many of its competitors have already vanished, this one is still in business. The directory lists a limited number of seemingly hand-selected affiliate programs across a dozen of categories.
5. Affiliate Watch
A fairly “new” kid on the block (as compared to some of the other directories listed here), Affiliate Watch ranks hundreds of affiliate programs. For every program listed, they include cookie length, Alexa rank, and 5-star rating criteria for which aren’t entirely clear. It’s still worth taking a peak.
6. Green Affiliate Programs
While we cannot link to this one on the reasons of direct competition (just as AM Navigator, they also offer affiliate program management services), their overall focus is worthy of praise. They are all about affiliate programs that promote eco-friendly, green, and sustainable products.
7. Lasso’s Affiliate Program Directory
While its primary focus is on selling a WordPress plugin for affiliates, Lasso has an extensive affiliate program directory that’s worth a mention here. They claim to list some 5,000 programs in it: categorized and searchable by key terms.
8. AffiliateSeeking.com
Just as AffiliatePrograms.com, this directory has been in business since 2004. It’s not getting too much traffic these days, but still lists affiliate programs and is worth a mention here.
9. AssociatePrograms.com
Started way back in 1999, this one derives its name from how Amazon’s affiliate program is called: an “associates program”. Today, AssociatePrograms.com is focused on much more than just listing affiliate programs. In fact, their affiliate program directory seems to have become secondary to the rest. They still list several affiliate programs on their website though
10. AffiliationsWorld.com
They are small, but as with all of the above, it is free to submit your affiliate program to this directory, and may be worth it int he long run.
Disclaimer: The above list should not be considered an endorsement of any kind. We have no affiliation with any of them and are merely documenting the top players in the field.
If we have missed your favorite quality affiliate program directory, please feel free to post about it in the “Comments” area below. We seriously consider each and every suggestion.

Great post as ever Geno.
There are several on that list that we have not submitted our program to yet so thanks!
Great list, I’ll take a closer look.
Andy and Andy, glad you’ve found the list of help.
Great List Geno, Will definitely look at it closely.
You can add another, affiliateprogramslocator.com
Nice list Geno!
I’ll also list a newer affiliate program directory… AffiliateLister.com
Out of that list, which are the creme de le creme (excuse my French spelling if that is wrong .. lol … but seriously, I will submit our affiliate program to all of them, but just curious as to see what kind of results others are getting.
Crème de la crème… close, just missed those funky E’s 🙂
I took the liberty to save you some time and add your “Seeds of the Month Club” affiliate program to http://www.AffiliateLister.com.
Please take a look and let me know if anything needs to be updated.
p.s. Really like your site – very clean.
Geno, love the list and totally agree, more and more of our affiliates find niche offers using directories.
For our network, it’s important to be listed. Something lots of programs and networks forget to do; make sure the directories (ones who support this) have access to your offer’s API feed.
When networks pull on your offer API, they’ll be able to provide searchers specifics on the offers your program or network have.
Good list, nice read!
There’s also a new listing portal on Mrkthub which i’ve been using quite a lot. Their news on the affiliate industry is updated daily. I like odigger too thats not too bad. I’m an affiliate network so getting our offers listed on sites like this is a big help for our company. Glad they’re around!
Affiliate marketing is a great place to money….I think there are lot of other affiliate platform are available
You should add More
Thanks for it
This list is very old. Consider adding AffiliateWatch, its a much more up to date platform.
Thanks Geno for the list.
Of course, this article was posted 10 years ago. A lot has changed in the affiliate marketing ecosystem.
I am the founder of the Affiliate Program Database (APDB). It is a modern affiliate marketing directory. Unbiased information; reviews by experienced users; Q&A between affiliates & merchants.
Good news for all affiliate managers reading this; it is free to add your program. We have some guidelines but most of the programs will qualify. To learn more: AffiliateProgramDB . com
