I think that we will see a move to a multi-touch affiliate attribution method, similar to what Chad Waite from AvantLink has talked about recently.
I would like to see advertising based on the behavior of the customer, let say, when the person is travelling, show him offers related to that, when the person is having a good day, different type of offers, I think we already have this information i.e. instagram post, twitter, facebook, foursquare, etc, we just need to know how to analyse this data to use it in a more granular way. I think the great prediction will be a more focused advertising in different devices (tablets, smartphones, smartwhatch, tv, game consoles)
Purchases across diverse platforms and devices combined with new modalities such as click-to-call from web browsers will continue to push the boundaries of affiliate attribution. 2016 is going to be fun!
I reckon attribution models will take a front stage.
I believe that even more companies will find value in affiliate marketing and there will be better ways to connect them with influencers. There will be an even bigger movement to mobile devices, as it pertains to affiliate marketing – and the more it’s used across industries and platforms, the more creative people will become through collaboration.
As cross-device tracking is becoming a standard, I think the role of mobile will continue to increase. Also, promotions via Youtube and Ad networks will spread more.
And the winners are…
